Suddenly the goblin shrieked, “How dare you intrude through my meadow!” “I didn’t know it was your meadow.” quivered Murkor. “Well it is mine!” cackled the goblin. “Well I’m sorry I intruded through your meadow.” said Murkor. “Do you know what I do to people who intrude through my meadow?” cackled the goblin. “I don’t know.” quivered Murkor. “I boil them!” cackled the goblin. “Why?” squeaked Murkor. “What did you say?” snarled the goblin. “Why do you do that?” repeated Murkor. “Well, I don’t know.” sniggered the goblin.”What’s your name anyway?” asked Murkor. “Hugo.” mumbled the goblin. “What is your name?” repeated Murkor. “Hugo!” said the goblin rather loudly. “Stay here!” shouted Hugo right in Murkor’s face. The goblin bustled away to start the fire. “I need a plan to get out of here.” whispered Murkor. While Hugo was gone Murkor thought. “I’ll sneak away while Hugo is gone.” said Murkor. So Murkor waited a few minutes…”Coast is clear.” whispered Murkor. So Murkor snuck quietly through the grass.
After Murkor was a few feet away from where he was just standing he hurried away. After a few minutes Murkor heard Hugo screech angrily, “Where is he? He probably left! I knew I should have kept an eye on him!” I am so happy I snuck away before he came back.” thought Murkor gratefully.
Then Murkor started to walk. He was now out of the meadow and on the grass. He had been with the goblin quite a long time. It was now 10:00 in the morning. It started getting muddy. Murkor stopped. “I should get my rubber boots out.” So Murkor got his rubber boots out of his bag. Then he put them on. Now he could walk easily in the mud. The farther Murkor walked the muddier and harder it got to walk. After Murkor walked a few more steps ot was getting easier to walk again. “A few more steps ’til I’m out of the mud.” panted Murkor. Murkor took a few more steps…Murkor finally got out of the mud.
